Abstract
Satellite-Based Augmentation System (SBAS) plays a vital role in aviation navigation, enhancing the performance of the global navigation satellite system. It can provide LPV200 services for civil aircraft in North America and Europe. The coverage of SBAS services, such as SDCM, MSAS, GAGAN, and KASS, has expanded to the surroundings of China. With the ongoing testing of the service performance of BeiDou Satellite-Based Augmentation System (BDSBAS), it is crucial to refine the satellite augmentation technology to support test certification and enhance the performance of BDSBAS. To meet this objective, a satellite augmentation method is proposed to improve the architecture of satellite augmentation and the service availability. The performance evaluation results demonstrate a significant 45.21% improvement in the integrity bounding rate in the range domain and a 2.60% enhancement in availability in the position domain, and simultaneously, the processing time of system segment is obviously reduced. The proposed method can provide APV-I services across most parts of China and its surroundings, with certain regions even eligible for LPV200 services.
